We were a little underwhelmed yet again with the release of the Kindle 2 last week. While Amazon’s e-book reading device is light years behind the iPhone it still sports a hefty $400 price tag. Low and behold, Amazon has just announced that it is releasing an iPhone app which will allow you to read e-books (downloaded from Amazon.com) on your iphone. While this is obviously not going to replace a good paperback anytime soon, it is nice to have something entertaining to read when you suddenly find yourself having to wait around (doctors office, DMV, etc) with nothing to read.
