For those in the Los Angeles area and especially those on the west side, the annual Abbot Kinney Festival goes on today from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM in Venice. Abbot Kinney Blvd will be closed to traffic from Main St. to Venice Blvd to accommodate 3 stages of live music, dancers and performance artists, a family courtyard, traditional festival and ethnic foods, beer garden, green living area and over 300 vendors featuring original, handcrafted goods.

The LIFF is running through Sunday at the Arclight in Hollywood. The festival is designed to showcase and nurture emerging Latin filmmakers. Much of the Arclight has been reserved for the film screenings. Visit the festival website for the schedule of screenings. Tickets for single films run about $10.
