Designer Maija Louekari introduced the Kulkue line of products for Marimekko in 2007, but it wasn’t until recently that these pieces have really begun to gain momentum. The simplicity of characters and the departure from what we recognize as traditional Marimekko gives these pieces true uniqueness and draw. Louekari also added the Karkuteillä line which can be added to Kulkue as a contrast pattern.

Introducing Litto Kids

Litto Kids

We are super excited about Litto Kids, a new company featuring contemporary kids’ furniture and bedding. Many of you may not be parents yet, but if you are, we know you’ll appreciate the attention to detail and the design of their introductory line.

Their cribs and bedroom furniture are well constructed all wood pieces. What we liked most is these are designed as more permanent additions to a home, as many scale with a child’s growth. The Lunar Dresser looks more like a mid century credenza than a child’s chest of drawers.

Lastly, a set of three original textiles were designed to accompany the infant and toddler beds. The textiles coupled with the bedding are the perfect solution for the modern parent looking to maintain style while making this like changing transition.
