Built in cigarette lighters in cars are starting to feel like an anachronism which should be relegated to our parents’ generation. Simply taking the lighter coil out and calling it a power source doesn’t help either (at least with the lighter we stood a chance of surviving while stranded in the wilderness). What Belkin has done should be a watermark for car manufacturers everywhere. They have effectively fitted the car power outlet with a USB jack. So now you can charge your iPhone, iPod or other device easily while on the go. Sold in different configurations ranging from $15-30. More info here.
