Baltimore based artist Christine Buckton Tillman produces pieces that are intimate and personal. Her work is often no larger than a regulation size paper, yet it is emotive and light hearted while and at the same time powerful. Splashes of color coupled with hand drawn grid work recall intricate needle work and traditional textiles. You can pick up a piece for yourself here.
28-year-old American artist Cody Hoyt works and plays out of the South. Sarasota, Florida to be exact. Hoyt favors the use of silk screening, but also uses gouache, colored pencil, etching, acrylic, enamel, and photo lithograph and anything else he can think of. He has a wonderful collection chock full of album art, prints, drawings, posters and T-Shirts. His prints and drawings remind us of explosions coming to life on a simple piece of paper. Stephen Wiltshire is a savant who can memorize arial views of cities after viewing them from above just once. He then renders these memories acurately as detailed drawings on paper. The brain is an amazing thing.
