Visitors to Houston Street and the Bowery in Manhattan will be rewarded with a wonderful mural. The piece, painted by brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo reflects their Brazilian roots. Street illustration is combined with characteristically Brazilian vibrant colors. The two brothers work under the name Os Gêmeos which in Portuguese translates to “the twins.’ Measuring about 15 feet by 50 feet, the mural will be up through next April.
Working out of São Paulo, Brazilian illustrator Rubens LP has a style which combines line drawing and vector illustration. Pseudo flourishes and graphic choices like selective spot colors and sprinkled dots give the work a nice feel. You can view additional work on his site.
Brazilian director Marcelo Garcia directed this fantastic promo piece for Max Haus, a modular loft producer. The result is a freeform piece exploring habitat, diversity, living, and taste. Production credit goes to Molho, a studio based in Sao Paulo. The piece was made over a month and a half using several types of animation techniques and styles executed by Molho’s 2d and 3d teams.
Xtrabold has some nicely executed design/illustration on his site. The illustration above was a standout (Pop Rocks meets space = awesome) although all the work is great. If you like this particular illustration as much as we do, there is a link to hi-res wallpapers on the work page.
