Built in cigarette lighters in cars are starting to feel like an anachronism which should be relegated to our parents’ generation. Simply taking the lighter coil out and calling it a power source doesn’t help either (at least with the lighter we stood a chance of surviving while stranded in the wilderness). What Belkin has done should be a watermark for car manufacturers everywhere. They have effectively fitted the car power outlet with a USB jack. We picked up this sexy lil’ router the other day after our apple base-station took a dive. And, aside from looking so friggin’ cool, was the easiest setup we’ve ever encountered. Complete with 4 gigabit ports, an LED screen displaying what devices are on your network and, subsequently, how much bandwidth they’re pulling, this router finally answers that age old question; ‘Which roommate’s computer is downloading all those torrents?’ That, and we can FINALLY surf the internet on that hammock in the front yard.
