American photographer Andrew Bush captures people in their cars doing what we should be doing, driving. No cell phones, no fuss but some with an occasional map. Bush takes us back to time when it was just us and our car, and maybe a simple radio. In his series, ‘66 drives’ we get to spy on people across the United States, most in Los Angeles, singing, waiting at stop lights or driving on highways, the simpler things we used to do in our cars. This collection reminds us of a road trip across America but seems to travel back in time, as well as across state lines.
