Once known for its elegant high-society looks, Balmain reopened its doors in 2005 with designer Christophe Decarnin at the helm. What emerged were tough, bod-con looks fit more for a thriving nightlife than an after-dinner nightcap. Balmain’s is the first runway I’ll look at in any season because whatever comes galloping down the catwalk is a pretty clear forecast of what I – and many other similarly minded girls – will be emulating in the coming season.
