to you above posters, you need to give credit to the artist, james jean. he is one of the most talented illustrators of our generation. his work is absolutely AMAZING. take a look at the wallpaper he designed for the boutiques in soho and beverly hills. I believe that your views on the video will then change.

Right, there’s no lack of good animators out there who would DIE to do a piece for Prada. South Park just did their heavy metal episode, I was waiting for Kenny to stumble into this at any moment.

I’ve added a picture of the Fairy Bag which Prada introduced for Spring/Summer 2008. It seems the illustrations in the video reference the illustration on their new hand bags and the patterns in the fabrics.

I would agree that the concept was not very strong. I think this was Prada’s attempt at generating a viral buzz around their new line. So much is the case that they threw a preview party for the video alone.

This is just my opinion, but that was a really poor concept and the illustration work for the animation looked amateur. It felt like I was watching some animation from the early 80’s, which don’t get me wrong, I love the 80s stuff, but I imagine that was not their goal. But thanks for sharing.
