They say that opposites attract (”they” being overbearing parents, well-meaning friends, yentas, and match.com), and nowhere is that sentiment more apparent than in Bryant Park this week. Though there were plenty of literal spectral opposites (black vs. white) to be seen, there were also two opposing ideals incorporated in blissful unity in shows from Chris Benz to TSE. While many designers seemed content segregate their sandy neutrals and poppy brights, many chose to use clever snaps of fluorescent blues, corals, and yellows to augment their more subdued palette. The result, as expected, is a match made in Heaven.
