Swedish based fashion retailers H&M opened the first of six new california stores last week in Pasadena, California. This is just one of 18 locations slated to open across the country. H&M brings with its brand Corporate Social Responsibility, spreading their human rights focus across all 700 of their worldwide suppliers and manufacturers. As consumers become more conscious of the labor practices of the companies from which they purchase products, H&M is sure to rise from the masses as a superior brand. Their stores continuously adapt to changes in fashion assisted by their unorthodox buying style. Their lines are constantly adapting to changes in fashion regardless of season. This approach proved incredibly profitable for the company as eager Californians lined up to buy pieces, previously only available in the Bay Area on the west coast. Patrons from all over Southern California have packed the store to capacity from open to close for 14 days now and counting. We hit the store upon opening and picked up a few pieces of our own. A word to the wise be prepared for long lines at the door, dressing rooms, and registers. H&M is worth the wait.
