So when we heard there was a new Tron movie coming out, our first thought was a resounding no thank you. We’ve seen enough of our childhood favs destroyed through remakes (we’re looking at you GI Joe and Transformers).
But after watching the leaked trailer for the new Tron movie, we’re sold. This looks super bad ass. We can’t wait for the inevitable video game that goes along with this. Syd Mead should be proud. See production stills after the jump.

wow. the other thing that crossed my mind is that with the cycles being able to not just take 90 turns, it messes us the premise of the old tron video game which was amazing. you battle each other and box each other in smaller and smaller rectangles. I hope hope hope they make this into a videogame with the same play feel as the old one.
