Welsh industrial designer Ross Lovegrove, known for the Go chair among other work, designed this lighting system for Yamagiwa. Lovegrove’s work often incorporates organic qualities and seems to take cues from nature.

The lighting system is made of a series of X shaped fluorescent lights. A tube can be used by itself or combined in a variety of configurations to provide a larger lighting unit. – Via BusinessWeek.
