A while back we wrote about Kinetic Sculptor Theo Jansen who combines engineering, sculpture and magic to create mind blowing work. This clip shows similar mechanical experimentation powered by solar energy. Maybe one day we’ll all ride these to work. Music is “Sawdust & Diamonds” by Joanna Newsom. Thanks to Ish for the tip.

How do they work?
I mean are they powered via the cables?
because Theos just work by converting the wind energy to movement.
I can’t imageine how theese sculptures convert sun into movement without solar panels..
