ROYAL/T is a playful collision of spaces- cafĂ©/shop/art space - presented in stunning fusion. Located in Culver City, California, this is Los Angeles’ first Japanese inspired Maid CafĂ©. Takaya Goto and Lesley Chi of Goto Design in New York, were approached by art collector Susan Hancock to envision a space for exhibiting her contemporary art collection. Inspired by the Meido Kissa (Maid CafĂ©) phenomena of Akihabara, (Tokyo’s electronic district) they came up with a 10,000 square foot concept art space/store/cafe that brings a part of Japanese culture to the City of Angels. Know before you go, ROYAL/T is open 10 to 6 everyday, except Mondays. The current show at their art space is called Just Love Me and will last up until August 9, 2008.
