Roadsworth Canadian for Change

Street art can often present a chicken and egg scenario. This is not one of those cases. In 2001 Roadsworth began his street art career with a cause, more bike lanes for his native Montreal. Initially his stencil art as public commentary was not well received by the local authorities. This form of peaceful protest soon landed Roadsworth (aka Peter Gibson) in jail. Despite this minor set back, he has been projected into the mainstream as a prominent figure not only in Canada but in Europe as well. In 2007 he was commissioned to complete a street installation en route for the Tour de France. It looks as though the US has yet to see the work of Roadsworth first hand. At this point it is only a matter of time.
Thanks for the heads up Micheal.
