The work of Peter Beard is part photography, part fine art, and part safari adventure. Beard fearlessly mixes mediums for a visceral sketchbook style craft of his journeys through Africa over the last fifty odd years. We’re stunned by his books and are eagerly awaiting a Taschen volume of his latest work next year. Thanks to Ian Claridge for tipping us off to Men’s Vogue sneak peak, you can bet we are going to buy it.

If you like Beard’s work, you’ll love the journals of Dan Eldon. Unfortunately Eldon was murdered in Mogadishu while covering a story in 1993. I highly recommend checking out “The Journey is the Destination: The Journals of Dan Eldon”
