The work of Peter Beard is part photography, part fine art, and part safari adventure. Beard fearlessly mixes mediums for a visceral sketchbook style craft of his journeys through Africa over the last fifty odd years. We’re stunned by his books and are eagerly awaiting a Taschen volume of his latest work next year. If you like Beard’s work, you’ll love the journals of Dan Eldon. Unfortunately Eldon was murdered in Mogadishu while covering a story in 1993. I highly recommend checking out “The Journey is the Destination: The Journals of Dan Eldon”
