Esther Derikx Improved Crockery

After collecting classic pieces of patterned crockery, designer Esther Derikx takes to creating new designs from the out of date. Derikx composes an improved piece by integrating the original pattern with lightly printed images. These unique characters are then fixed to the pieces as they are run through a ceramics oven. As these pieces are created at Derikx studio in the Netherlands they have been pretty hard to come by here in the states. Some of the pieces are available for purchase here.
