Canvas Pop- Digital Canvas Printing

There are so many great digital services for artists it’s getting tough to keep track of them all. Our latest favorite is Canvas Pop, which helps you get your photos on canvas and up on your wall.
Whether you want to print your digital photos large scale or print your digital art large enough to have a show, Canvas Pop can get your work off your machine and live in the real word by uploading files to your website. They can even split files into 2,3, or 4 sections if you want something a little different. Prices range from $30 (8×11)-$219(24×72) although we’d probably stick to large sizes.

I really disagree with this recommendation. CanvasPop will ignore any copyright ownership and boasts on its main page that it will let you “Upload an image from Facebook® or virtually any other website … without having to ask them for the original source files. That’s what makes CanvasPop different—we can work with files of almost any resolution.” Yes, they claim they’ll do it without permission for the purpose of ‘surprising’ the copyright-holder, but that is a thin, transparent excuse. This company should be shunned, not recommended.

Please allow me to respond to your comment. We take copyright issues very seriously and we simply will not work with or print any images that do not follow our strict Terms of Use: http://www.canvaspop.com/terms-of-use.aspx (please read them)
Every time an image is uploaded users must have a checkbox selected that states that they either own the image being uploaded or that they have permission to use the image.
We have in fact rejected orders in the past that we felt were in violation of copyright.
We are artists and photographers ourselves so we take this very seriously.
