WK Interact @ Maxalot Gallery

Fresh off of a sceaming match with Kobe Bryant, WK Interact’s new show at Barcelona’s Maxalot Gallery opens today. The French graffiti artist is part of the holy trinity of street artist turned political commentator including Banksy and Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant).

The show features new silkscreen prints, mixed media collages, and a display of the artists “”Gorilla Gear”, used to provide cover while spreading propaganda in public by making you look like a storm trooper.

We’d be surprised if he didn’t do any new public works projects in Barcelona while he’s in town, so if you’re in Barcelona and you see anything be sure and let us know. Thank you Justin for the additional photos in the full post.

Great timing, I happen to be finishing up a trip in Barcelona and have noticed a few of his works around town. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures to share at this point, but maybe someone else can get a few shots in.

I’d really love to see them. Let us know if you get some pictures and be sure to check out Thursday’s post on an amazing hotel in Barcelona.

I’m sorry. It turns out that hotel we featured was in Madrid and I forgot.

Just saw the post, looks great. Wish I could have stayed there. I have good news though. Although I had to leave right after posting that comment, my friend managed to snap off a few shots on her way around the old city. I’ll see if i can get her to post a gallery.

We are officially putting a visit to Maxalot on our “to do” list. […]
