Neu Black was created in Summer of 2006 by Alex and Toshi Jones and Kellis Landrum in the hopes of spreading the word about the design world they were immersed in. Kellis and Alex both Art Center College of Design alum and Toshi with a background in interactive at Yahoo!, they found Neu Black to be a perfect medium to take their knowledge of design and create an online destination where users could access the latest in design, culture, and style.

Kellis Landrum is Owner and Creative Director of Soda Media Inc, an Art Center College of Design Alumni, a memeber of the Art Center Legacy Circle, and Art Center Instructor. He is also a member of the AIGA, and founding member of the Los Angeles AIGA Interactive Committee.

Alexander Jones is an art director with an extensive background in branding and identity. Distinctions include Best of Show in HOW Interactive Design Annual, Cannes Silver Lion, FWA, and publication in IdNPRO Flips 7. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design and is currently working in Los Angeles.
