There is something refreshing about Florida. For fashion photographer Julia Galdo her hometown influence just beams Miami. The elaborateness of her scenes and costuming add an elegant flair her work. She currently working in advertising for companies such as Microsoft and Nike, but we’d love to see more of her work in the fashion realm. Hint, hint.

If you’re taking it easy before the new years starts and things get crazy again, be sure and check out the newly opened Space Fifteen Twenty in Hollywood. As we were informed this is an experimental retail space anchored by Urban Outfitters and includes a few boutique retailers, an art gallery, and performance space. We got a chance to meet the lovely Samatha Pleet at the opening of her boutique. Check out her Rapscallion line if you want to ooze beautifully disheveled style without the hassle of trying.
But on the real, our personal prayers were answered when we saw that Space Fifteen Twenty contained a new Hennssey and Ingalls location. While we were willing to schlep across a sea of LA Traffic to get to their Santa Monica Location, we can now drown in a sea of incredible books that’s practically across the street from Amoeba Music. Between all of these and the Arclight, Hollywood is finally looking like something that can compete with Sunset Junction in Silverlake, Abbot Kinney in Venice, or Ocean Ave in Santa Monica.

It seems almost hard to believe these days that Dave Kinsey was once just another kid spray painting in an alley somewhere. But as we see the layers aersol lines on canvas diving over and underneath brush strokes you can tell the soul of a teenage anarchist is still lurking down there somewhere.
We caught these images from Kinsey’s shows in Italy and Belgium last summer and had to give you guys a little taste. Check out a ton of great art after the jump, and you can see the rest of Kinsey’s vacation photo’s over at Fecal Face.

I’m sure there are a few lingering gifts left to pick up. Looking for especially difficult to nail down gifts for your boss, mother-in-law, or the friend who has everything. This weekend, we turned to Reform School to round out this years holiday shopping. We picked up a couple of great glass decanters with matching glasses for $20 and $22 (pictured below) and some great kids gifts for the fam. They’ve got quite a few items we’ve covered in the past, so if you missed the holiday shipping cut off, head out to Reform School and hammer it all out in one place. Be sure to check out their great online store for year round gifting and shopping.

Since yesterday it was 40° in LA, I figured some winter accessories might be appropriate. The New York based outfit Neck, lush has varied the design on the everyday scarf. Made from free form loops form cotton jersey, the Neck, lush arrangements are reminiscent of this seasons multi-layer Givenchy chains. You can pick a Neck, lush here.
